“Tea Trails Along The Silk Road” Youth Study Tour 2.0: A New Chapter of Tea Culture Exchange Between Chinese and Malaysian Youth

In less than six months, Zhejiang International Studies University (ZISU) has once again joined hands with the Malaysia-China Cultural Tourism Association to host the “Tea Trails Along The Silk Road” Youth Study Tour 2.0. From December 1 to 6, 2024, 24 students and faculty members from Zhejiang International Studies University and Peking University traveled across Malaysia, visiting destinations such as Melaka, Kuala Lumpur, and the Cameron Highlands to experience Malaysia’s diverse culture and explore the unique allure of Malaysian tea traditions.

Malaysia Universities Forge New Academic Collaborations with Heilongjiang Institutions

Malaysian universities, including Pahang Sultan Ahmad Shah University, Sunway University, HELP University, and Hanxin College, have embarked on collaborative agreements with 11 universities from China's Heilongjiang Province. This marks a significant milestone for educational exchange under the Belt and Road Initiative.

Malaysian Deputy Speaker YB Lee Chin Chen Advocates for Priority Scholarships to Heilongjiang for Malaysian Students

On Sunday, Deputy Speaker of the Pahang State Assembly, YB Lee Chin Chen, met with Wang Hesheng, Vice Governor of Heilongjiang Province in China, to discuss opportunities for collaboration in higher education between Heilongjiang and Malaysia. The meeting explored the possibility of offering direct scholarships to outstanding Malaysian students for studies in Heilongjiang.

Explore the Silk Road with Zhejiang International Studies University

Twelve teachers and students from Zhejiang International Studies University, together with representatives from the Malaysia-China Cultural Tourism Association, visited historical sites in Malacca, Petaling Street in Kuala Lumpur, and tea plantations in the Cameron Highlands from July 1st to 5th, 2024. They explored the footprint of Malaysian tea culture and the integration of Chinese-Malaysian cultures, sharing heartfelt wishes with local friends at each stop, leaving trails of heartfelt blessings for Sino-Malaysian friendship.
